About Kavita

KavitaPhotoKavita Sherman believes everyone has a story to tell and an idea to share.

From venerable corporations to inspirational individuals, Kavita Sherman helps businesses and people develop and deliver their messages in ways that inform, interest and influence.

In 2005, Kavita launched Sherman Communications LLC. She works primarily with clients in the healthcare, manufacturing, and tech areas, and has also handled assignments in the consumer goods, education, and zoological park industries. This wide breadth of experience means she’s never bored and her clients benefit from her knowledge. After all, carefully planned communication strategies and good writing are always valued.

Up until 1996, Kavita followed a fairly typical corporate communications career path, specializing in internal communications. When her husband had the opportunity to work in Belgium for four months, the family jumped at the chance. Kavita exchanged managing the CEO’s employee site meetings and magazine editing for Flemish language lessons and immersing herself in European culture and travel. Just when she figured out which Belgian shops sold the best cheese and chocolates, the family moved again, this time to the Netherlands.

Coming Home

Four years later, Kavita’s language skills had improved, as had her ability to ride a Dutch bicycle with both her children onboard. But America beckoned and it was time to go home.

Much had changed in the communications field where the Internet and email now dominated the landscape. Committed to lifelong learning and applying new technologies, Kavita took classes and gained the skills to operate in this new environment.  Already a self-starter who thrived on deadlines and juggling multiple priorities and projects, resuming her communications career signified another homecoming for Kavita.

Kavita believes she has the best job in the world. How many people get to interact with corporate executives and the welders and engineers who build the new presses and design industrial automation tools? How often does a person get to learn about and explain the latest mobile and technology initiatives? Who gets paid to research and write about infertility, cutting-edge cancer treatments, and skin treatments?

It’s nice to be home.
